Browser software
It is recommended that you have Internet Explorer 6.0+. We test on other browsers and these are acceptable but may produce unintended results. The Commission website uses Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) to display information and older browsers may not display pages correctly.
PDF readers
A large number of documents on the Commission website are produced in PDF format. Most of the PDF documents on this site are can be read by Adobe Acrobat Reader 5 or higher (older documents may have been produced for Acrobat 3 and may lack features available in more recent versions). Copies of the reader are available from the Adobe website for free.
Other software
The Commission also uses software from the Microsoft Office suite (details are available in Submitting electronic documents). These should be available to be read by most word processors currently available.
We recommend that APS staff should consult with their IT staff before downloading to ensure compatibility with the organisations operating systems and operational guidelines.
