Promoting a harassment free workplace
The Australian Public Service (APS) has a duty through the APS Values and Code of Conduct to provide for a fair, flexible and safe workplace free from discrimination. Managers and HR employees need a good awareness of legislation relating to workplace harassment and the latest developments in the law. Those with responsibility for creating an inclusive APS environment will benefit from this programme.
Programme overview
- exploring the legislation that makes discrimination and bullying unlawful
- outlining the costs and personal consequences of this behaviour
- correctly identifying cases of harassment and bullying
- identifying the appropriate process to undertake once harassment has been identified and establishing the roles of key APS staff
- outlining the range of APS prevention strategies
